Who you are
- Expertise in technical functions: You have significant experience working with Engineering and Product teams in high-growth, fast-paced environments. You understand the unique dynamics of these teams and are comfortable navigating product development lifecycles and agile methodologies
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution: You can balance long-term strategy with hands-on execution, managing both strategic projects and operational tasks with ease
- Proven experience with leadership teams: You’ve partnered with senior technical leaders, providing guidance on team structure, performance, and culture. You know how to influence and challenge leadership while building strong relationships
- Data-savvy decision-maker: You’re skilled at turning data into actionable insights, using people analytics to guide decisions and measure the success of your strategies
- Creative problem solver: You bring a first-principles mindset, questioning assumptions and finding new, innovative ways to solve complex challenges
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior People Partner with deep expertise in supporting technical teams to join us
- In this high-impact role, you’ll align our people strategy with business goals while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Reporting to the Senior Director of People Partners, you’ll manage one direct report and serve as the go-to expert for developing initiatives that help our Engineering and Product teams thrive
- You’ll drive engagement, performance, and sustainable growth, working closely with senior leadership to design people strategies that support our scaling efforts
- This role is pivotal in setting our Engineering and Product teams up for long-term success. If you’re passionate about building impactful people strategies and creating high-performance cultures, we’d love to meet you!
- Partnering with Engineering and Product leadership: You’ll act as a trusted advisor, working closely with senior technical leaders to align people strategies with business goals. You’ll gain a deep understanding of these teams’ needs and challenges, offering actionable insights to enhance performance, engagement, and innovation
- Leading technical talent strategy: You’ll develop a comprehensive talent management strategy. You’ll ensure we have the right people in place to drive company growth
- Supporting performance management: You’ll guide Engineering and Product leaders in defining success, facilitating performance reviews, career development plans, and succession planning
- Fostering a culture of innovation: You’ll shape the culture within our Engineering and Product teams by embedding our company values and promoting an environment of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Designing and driving people initiatives: You’ll create and implement initiatives that improve team dynamics, leadership development, and employee engagement, tailoring solutions to resonate with our technical teams
- Managing organisational change: As TravelPerk scales, you’ll support Engineering and Product teams through change, ensuring they remain agile, aligned, and ready to meet new challenges
- Building data-driven solutions: You’ll leverage people analytics and insights to guide decision-making, using data to inform talent strategies and assess the impact of your initiatives

Although business travellers are often at the forefront of driving company growth, booking travel is typically a logistical nightmare as corporate travel tools are underdeveloped and stuck way in the past. TravelPerk has built a platform free from micromanagement, creating an experience that puts business travellers first.
TravelPerk's number of active users has grown year on year. Further, as well as more customers using the platform, those on it are using it more regularly. This is a clear signal that TravelPerk has a product market fit and is in scaling mode. The company has more than 2,000 customers, including scaleups like Revolut, Farfetch and Beyond Meat.
According to TravelPerk, its unit economics are strong already, which puts it in a strong position to grow without diluting itself too much through investment. The company is still innovating and said it is planning to release more products that will give the business traveller more freedom and flexibility than ever before. Its new Edinburgh hub and partnership with fintech unicorn Pleo, TravelPerk is undoubtedly committing to a period of scaling. Exemplifying this is its Series D funding of $104 million awarded in January 2024, which will boost TravelPerk's AI and automation capabilities to aid its growth.
