Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in the SaaS industry
- 2+ years of NetSuite admin experience required
- In-depth knowledge of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) and related technical accounting standards
- Familiarity with SaaS business models, pricing strategies, and revenue streams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to proactively identify and resolve complex issues, and drive best practices
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team member, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in an agile, often ambiguous, environment
- Adept at manipulating large data sets
What the job involves
- As a key member of the Finance team, you will play a crucial role in owning and optimizing all revenue processes
- Lead and oversee all technical and operational aspects of revenue accounting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Provide guidance and expertise on complex technical accounting matters related to revenue recognition and other operational aspects of order-to-cash
- Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures in accordance with ASC 606 and other applicable accounting guidelines
- Analyze financial transactions and contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment to ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant standards
- Identify areas for process improvement, automation, and increased efficiency in revenue reporting and analysis
- Lead the revenue close and reporting activities
- Support implementation of Netsuite
- End to end ownership of billing/AR
- Continue to streamline and develop scalable processes and policies for revenue recognition for complex transactions
