Who you are
- Proven Experience: 3+ years experience, with at least 2 years of UI/UX design experience and 2 years of dedicated product design experience

- Familiarity with Health Technologies: Knowledge of or experience with popular health technologies, such as Oura, Whoop, Apple Watch, and CGMs (Continuous Glucose Monitors). - As an early member of our team, your contributions will play a critical role in shaping the future of our member experience as we scale from currently thousands of members to millions
- Product Understanding: Comprehend product goals, identify requirements, and address user problems to optimize both member impact and company benefits
- Solution Presentation: Illustrate and present creative solutions that enhance user experience; effectively communicate design rationale to stakeholders
- Research and Integration: Support user experience research, share findings, and integrate insights into product development to continually refine user interactions
- Design System Management: Work within, expand, and maintain a comprehensive and efficient design system, ensuring consistency and quality in design outputs
Our take
With the predominant model of healthcare being routine checkups and care for severe discomfort, chronic disease and health disparity are on the rise in the US. Function Health is a company that promotes a continuous mode of healthcare by removing barriers to lab testing.
Founded by former employees at Google Research, Meta, Fitbit and Tonal, Function Health provides subscribers with new ways to manage their health, opting for preventative measures rather than treatment. It does this by providing members with all-in-one lab testing, with more than 100 different tests available. It quantifies results and insights in an accessible and actionable manner, making caring for your health easier to manage.
Having only come out of stealth in 2023, it's impressive to see Function already secure a substantial Series B round and a 50,000-plus membership base. Its disruptive model of preventative healthcare is clearly turning heads, and it will use its fresh funding to scale its platform to a wider market.
