Who you are
- A strong portfolio that blends design craft with strategic clarity and business relevance
- Significant experience (typically 7+ years) leading design within commercial, brand or product environments, ideally in B2B or technology sectors
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end design delivery while inspiring and developing creative talent
- Expert level in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint, with a strong grasp of UI/UX and storytelling for digital environments
- Deep understanding of how design drives commercial success and connecting creativity with partner and revenue growth
- Collaborative, hands-on approach with excellent communication skills and confidence engaging senior stakeholders

What the job involves
- In this role, you’ll shape how CarTrawler’s story is visually experienced by partners around the world
- Leading a small, high-impact design team, you’ll define the creative vision and strategic direction for how we present our propositions, pitches and partner experiences ensuring every touchpoint reflects our innovation and brand strength
- Acting as a bridge between Commercial, Product and Marketing, you’ll translate complex ideas into compelling visual narratives that drive connection, clarity and growth
- Lead and define the creative and strategic vision for Commercial Design, aligning visual strategy with CarTrawler’s broader business and product objectives
- Drive the development of a scalable library of assets for Product Marketing to strengthen sales enablement
- Own design delivery for high-value commercial opportunities, from pitch decks to partner experiences, ensuring consistent brand storytelling
- Build and maintain scalable design systems, templates and guidelines that strengthen brand integrity and efficiency
- Mentor and inspire a small, high-performing design team to deliver creative excellence and drive continuous improvement
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product and Leadership teams to ensure brand coherence and elevate CarTrawler’s market positioning

CarTrawler provides car rental and mobility solutions to travel industry players, enabling them to supplement their revenue and improve the experiences of their customers. It runs what is essentially a B2B marketplace for car rentals, through which airlines and travel agents can offer their clients end-to-end travel options.
Like many of its travel industry peers, the company has felt the pinch in recent years due to the after-effects of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis. Despite this, CarTrawler has remained positive that it can capture further success in the new-look economy. It has continued to pursue new partnerships and expand its North American presence, already boasting a network of key players including United Airlines, easyJet, Uber, Emirates and Hotels.com.
