Our take

Paymentology was founded as a disruptor within the payment processing market, that sets out to provide scalable processing for banks around the world. Although targeting a huge and highly competitive space - with a host of big name providers including banking institutions such as Wells Fargo and Barclays - the company distinguishes itself from these much larger competitors by being the world's only cloud-native payment processing service.

Paymentology also stands out for working alongside existing banking platforms, with a strong focus on making banks more customer-centric. It has grown into a solid player since its birth in 2015, and it now operates across four continents, with clients including Revolut and Hong Kong's Mox Bank.

Back in December 2021, Paymentology merged with Tutuka to create a new payments and card processing powerhouse of over 270 payments and technology experts, working across both developed and emerging markets. With this, the company's reach has extended to serve customers in 49 countries, across 14 time zones, and the platform processes billions in US dollars of transactions every year.
