Our take

Due to an ageing population and an increasing number of annual diagnoses, the US healthcare system is under strain. Poor hospital capacity and operations have led to patients switching healthcare providers due to long wait times and bottlenecks.

LeanTaaS provides software for hospitals and health systems that uses machine learning to provide valuable predictive and prescriptive insights. These analytics are then used to help increase access, reduce wait times, and overall improve the performance of operations.

The startup’s main product uses analytics to make efficient decisions in regard to the management of operating rooms, patient beds, and infusion centers. This unique approach does not aim to change healthcare structures, but instead improve the efficiency of how hospitals use them. And it's proven popular, with massive amounts of funding raised over the years to support LeanTaaS's growth and innovation.
