Role
Who you are
- 9+ years product management experience in a developer-centric environment
- OR 12+ years product management experience for Senior Staff level*
- Strong toolkit for organizing, influencing, and executing across engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Experience developing creative applications or other deeply interactive software
- Experience with KPI/OKR-based product development
- Familiarity with A/B testing, measuring the incrementality and holistic impact of your work
- Comfort defining, collecting, and drawing insights from data relevant to your domain. Ability to analyze historical trends and hypothesize the information you have (and in some cases, the data you don’t). Experience using Looker is a strong plus
- Passion for customer happiness, and drive to identify angles, opportunities, and holes in the market
- Proven strengths in cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, and the soft science of getting things done
- Conceptual knowledge of the technical building blocks of a modern web application
- Nice to have: Experience or background working with / developing animation tools, working with HTML canvas-based applications
What the job involves
- Drive the product strategy and ongoing development of Paperless Post’s media creation experiences across all our products and platforms
- Work closely with senior leadership and engineers to translate company goals into focused initiatives, actionable next steps, and a living backlog of opportunities
- Partner with Engineering and Product Design to craft tools and experiences that delight our internal and external Users, via thoughtful technical approaches
- Lead your cross-functional team by enabling, inspiring, and involving them in the product development process
- Prioritize features, build consensus and lead your team to execute a hypothesis-driven roadmap to drive impact on company goals on 30, 60, 90 day intervals
- Track successes and failures with data, adjusting hypotheses and team priorities accordingly
- Collaborate with and support Content Design, Customer Insights and Data teams with shared objectives and tactics
- The PP Product Management team is lucky enough to work at a truly product-driven company with millions of paying users. Because Paperless Post isn’t supported by ad revenue, we spend our days focused on creating and improving on the ideal version of our platform, product, content, and partnerships for our users

Our take
Sending invitations to events can be tedious and time-consuming, and outsourcing design can be expensive too. Paperless Post solves this problem with its technology-led, design-first approach.
Paperless Post first launched in 2009, and since then it has become a clear market leader in a field cluttered with fairly simple design and printing tools. Part of its success stems from its early adoption of mobile phones as a platform - while initially optimized for desktop use the company worked hard to develop its platform for mobile users. This has allowed Paperless Post to consolidate its growth in spite of market changes over the years.
Paperless Post is well-positioned to see considerable growth. It will need to continue to develop its partnerships and technology in order to fend off new competitors, however. Its unique designs and partnerships with brands such as Caroline Herrera go some way to achieving this, and its understanding of communication trends: switching to text message notifications rather than email as younger people abandon email as a way to communicate - indicate that the company is still ahead of the curve.
