Role
Who you are
- You’re a B2B marketer who knows how to scale demand generation strategies with precision and creativity
- You can run and optimize campaigns, write compelling case studies and emails, and come up with fresh ideas that actually drive leads
- You’re organized enough to manage conferences and field marketing efforts, and technical enough to scrub a database for ABM, work inside HubSpot, analyze CAC and LTV, and manage content in Webflow
- You’re fluent in spreadsheets and CRM tools, comfortable building and optimizing the funnel end to end
- Have 5+ years in B2B marketing, ideally at a SaaS company targeting SMBs
- You’re technical
- Ideally, you’ve used CRMs like Hubspot, communication tools like Customer.io, website tools like Webflow
- Love owning pipeline and can confidently talk CAC, LTV, and funnel math
- Are a doer, not just a strategist. You’re hands-on and get things done quickly
- Enjoy collaborating across teams—especially sales, product, and leadership
- Thrive in a fast-moving environment with lots of autonomy
- Are excited to work hybrid in Austin a few days a week
- Open to some travel for conferences
What the job involves
- You’ll own B2B demand generation at a fast-growing proptech startup. Drive MQLs, optimize funnels, and shape marketing strategy alongside founders and sales
- Most importantly, you work cross-functionally with sales, account management, and the broader marketing team to align on strategy, execute flawlessly, and generate real pipeline
- We’re at a pivotal moment: Product-market fit is locked in. Demand is real. Channels are warming up. Now, we’re looking for a growth-minded marketer to take the reins and scale what’s working—while also testing what’s next
- You’ll be the quarterback of our B2B demand generation efforts, working directly with the founding team and sales org to drive high-quality marketing-qualified leads (MQLs). Expect autonomy, impact, and room to build
- This isn’t a “manage the agency” role. It’s a roll-up-your-sleeves, write-the-copy, run-the-campaign, build-the-funnel kind of job
- Lead Demand Gen: Build, launch, and optimize paid, organic, and event-driven campaigns to fuel the sales pipeline with high-quality MQLs
- Own the Funnel: Track and optimize conversion rates from click to close. You’ll know your CAC from your LTV and tweak accordingly
- Craft Great Content: Create (and oversee) content that supports lead generation and sales enablement—think case studies, email sequences, webinars, and more
- Be Sales’ Best Friend: Work hand-in-hand with the sales team to align on MQL criteria, lead scoring, and follow-up tactics
- Drive Events: Plan and attend industry events like NARPM, helping generate visibility and pipeline
- Experiment Boldly: Test new channels and formats. Scale what works. Cut what doesn’t
Our take
Sunroom Rentals is a mobile-first digital marketplace that was created to help busy estate agents optimise their efficiency. It allows prospective renters to view and lease properties virtually, and helps property owners and managers to boost their profitability.
The founding team saw success with their previous delivery app Favor, and applied a similar "start-local" strategy. This approach saw the company begin by securing strong uptake in Austin, before expanding to other cities in Texas, and eventually cultivating a presence in many other states.
With an impressive start and steady expansion, Sunroom Rentals seems to have made a good name for itself. Though there are plenty of competitors in the space, it is also a growing market, so there should be ample opportunity for the company to continue to grow.
