What the job involves
- We are seeking an organized, outgoing and proactive Office Manager & Executive Assistant to provide essential support to our CRO/CEO/VP Customer Success at our Los Altos, CA office
- This role demands exceptional attention to detail, outstanding communication skills, and a keen ability to prioritize executive needs
- Efficiently manage our co-founders (CEO/CRO/VP Customer Success) to optimize their time and productivity
- Arrange travel, prepare meeting materials, and track follow-up actions
- Be “the face of Descope” at our Los Altos, CA office
- Maintain office needs such as supplies, groceries, mailing/shipping needs/cleaning services
- Manage organization of office conference rooms and common/kitchen areas
- Organize and coordinate various events such as board meetings, offsite retreats, and team kickoffs (in Los Altos and elsewhere)
- Foster positive relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Operate both independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities
- Process and approve expense reports and reimbursements
- Allocate 5-10% of time to personal assistant duties, including managing personal meetings and travel for the team
- Occasional travel to support company-wide events is required
- Creative ‘ghost’ write in LinkedIn and other social media
Our take
Descope offers an authentication and user management platform that enables developers to add passwordless authentication and user management capabilities to their B2C and B2B apps.
Whilst the importance of good security is obvious, passwords have begun to represent one of the worst parts of the user experience. Whether that be the time it ends up occupying, or recent accounts of some of the largest online free password managers experiencing hacking and security issues. Descope, therefore, offers an alternative option and takes charge of authentication so app developers can instead focus on business-critical tasks.
The company closed an $88M seed in 2023 and added an extra $35M to it in late 2025. With this funding it plans to grow its product capabilities, invest in research and support open source initiatives around authentication, authorization and user management.
