Who you are
- 2+ years of sales closing experience, at a technology company, with a track record of top performance - must
- Quick learner, creative, detail-oriented, positive, enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to succeed

- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a remote team through self-motivation and independent initiative

- Prior experience with the media industry is an advantage
What the job involves
- As an Account Executive at Riverside, you will be an integral part of our growth engine, driving revenue by building relationships with prospective clients and turning them into happy Riverside users. You’ll manage inbound leads, take meetings with outbounds set by our BD team, and handle the full sales cycle through the onboarding of new users
- You are an adept salesperson, capable of engaging in executive-level as well as technical conversations. You ideally have experience working with small/medium businesses and the potential to work with larger enterprises. You have an understanding of the buyer journey and can lead short, single-stakeholder deals as well as complex multi-party sales in a highly consultative manner

- Identify high-potential prospective users from inbound leads
- Own the full sales cycle from lead to close
- Lead and contribute to team projects to develop and refine our sales process
- Engage with Product and Marketing to help amplify our growth trajectory
- Report progress and metrics and present periodic proposals to management on ways to improve the sales process
- Consistently achieve a quota to meet team revenue and growth objectives
Our take
The popularity of podcasts continues to skyrocket, with podcasts covering every topic one can possibly imagine. Traditionally the medium has been limited to one or more hosts recording in advance, in the same location. But as podcasting grows, the demand for innovation has outgrown the legacy tools that hosts are using.
Riverside.fm realised that the best podcasts will feature more than one co-host and often different guests every episode. The company has made this process easy for hosts by allowing them to easily record remote podcasts. Users are able to locally record video and audio, allowing them to easily separate host and guest channels, livestream recordings on most major social platforms, and accept screened live questions from listeners to boost engagement.
The initial product was met with large interest from its Product Hunt launch. Since then, a number of major podcasts have switched to using Riverside.fm to record their shows including the NFL Weekly Podcast and the number one news show in the Netherlands.
Riverside.fm has teamed up with Spotify, this will undoubtedly aid the company in reaching more listeners by uploading its podcasts to Spotify via Anchor. With the addition of a hefty investment, the company will use this to expand its current team and is committed to building more of a robust experience for its creators.
