Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field — or equivalent portfolio experience
- A strong portfolio showcasing presentation design, brand systems, marketing assets, and illustration work
- Exceptional visual design skills with mastery of typography, layout, color, and hierarchy
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Experience creating executive-level presentations (Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Keynote)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Motion design or light animation skills (a plus)
What the job involves
- As a Visual Designer on the Product Design Team, you’ll elevate the visual craft of everything we create
- From high-impact presentations and polished product marketing assets to custom illustrations and branded experiences, you’ll help shape how Appspace looks, feels, and communicates
- This role is ideal for a designer with exceptional visual taste and execution — someone who thrives on turning complex ideas into compelling visuals
- You’ll collaborate closely with product designers, marketing, leadership, and cross-functional partners to ensure our brand and product storytelling are cohesive, clear, and inspiring
- Design high-quality presentations for executive reviews, conferences, and customer engagements
- Create compelling visual narratives that translate complex product concepts into clear, engaging visuals
- Develop custom illustrations, graphics, and visual assets that strengthen our brand expression
- Partner with Product Marketing to design launch materials, one-pagers, campaigns, and digital assets
- Maintain and evolve Appspace’s visual language across product and marketing touchpoints
- Ensure visual consistency across decks, documentation, web assets, and in-product visuals
- Support the Product Design team with polished UI visuals, icons, and branded assets as needed
- Contribute to and help refine visual standards within our design system
- Collaborate cross-functionally to raise the bar on visual quality across the organization
- Bring fresh visual ideas and elevate the aesthetic quality of our outputs
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve our creative execution
- Champion attention to detail — typography, layout, color, and composition matter here
Our take
Founded back in 2002, Appspace has grown into something of a leader in the workplace experience field. What essentially started as an internal content management and digital signage toolkit has since expanded into an end-to-end workplace management platform that caters for both physical and digital co-working and communication.
The calibre of customers that Appspace serves says a lot about its status – Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Coca-Cola and Pfizer all use the platform. It’s to the company’s credit that it’s stayed abreast of changing needs in the workplace, and added to its product offering at opportune moments, either by developing its solutions or via strategic acquisitions.
Now that a blend of on-site, hybrid, and remote working is the norm, there’s a need for a single platform that ensures good employee (and customer) experiences, rather than companies using a host of distributed apps. It’s a need that Appspace is fulfilling well, as it continues to invest in product innovation.
