Role
Who you are
- 10+ years of sales experience as an Account Executive, with a focus on net new logos and a proven track record exceeding quota and selling complex software solutions to key strategic accounts
- 3+ years of experience working as a practitioner at an audit/advisory/assurance firm
- Strong executive presence and experience successfully selling to executives at Fortune 500 companies
- Able to manage complex, multi-threaded, highly technical sales processes involving customer stakeholders from executives to day-to-day product users
- Experience independently managing a complete sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation to close
- Team player who collaborates effectively across internal teams (Solutions, Finance, Product, Marketing, etc.)
- Motivated by building sales processes in a rapidly changing startup and being part of a team-oriented selling environment
What the job involves
- As a Strategic Account Executive at Fieldguide, you'll be focused on driving net new sales of Fieldguide’s innovative vertical AI platform to the largest players in audit and advisory in Canada
- Your main responsibilities will include prospecting, identifying, and securing new sales opportunities within the largest public accounting firms in the world
- By understanding their specific business needs with a values-based selling approach, you will sell solutions that improve their efficiency and productivity and help redefine the future of audit and advisory services
- Own targeted account list of key strategic accounts, overseeing the full sales cycle from prospecting to close as the first account executive in the Canadian market
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets and key sales metrics
- Build a relationship as a trusted advisor with key decision-makers, understanding their business needs and pain points and aligning Fieldguide’s solutions with their needs
- Present a compelling walkthrough of Fieldguide's solutions to prospects
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams, including Solutions, Finance, Product, Marketing, etc., to ensure the customer’s needs and expectations are properly met throughout the sales process
- Develop and refine our enterprise sales playbook and processes
- Attend networking events and conferences to build relationships that will create new business opportunities
- Up to 30% travel is required
Our take
Fieldguide offers a cloud-native collaboration and automation platform for accounting and advisory practices. The idea is to make workflow and collaboration more streamlined, and automate parts of it altogether, for teams working on cybersecurity, risk, and ESG audits.
Fieldguide has launched with a focus on three high-demand and high-growth areas of business. With cybersecurity and ESG in particular seeing increased corporate investment, thanks to the steep costs of error or regulatory non-compliance, demand for tech that can help manage this influx of auditing work is likely to grow fast. Indeed, Fieldguide has received an impressive funding injection which will see the company looking to expand the kinds of audit their product applies to, as well as aggressively growing their team.
Fieldguide has already netted some key audit and advisory firms as clients and a substantial Series B funding round, suggesting that the young company is onto something good. Internal productivity tools are seeing a boom across multiple industries, with automation also seeing a significant uptake for enterprise businesses. If Fieldguide can successfully manage its scale-up, it could become an important software player.
