Role
Who you are
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or similar roles
- Expert in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform, GitHub Actions and CI/CD standards
- Deep understanding of containerization technologies, highly-distributed backend systems and microservice architecture
- Experience in backend engineering and strong programming skills
- Familiarity with data stores: Mongo, Postgres, Redis
- Proficiency with ELK stack and Grafana
- Ability to act independently, proactively, and in ambiguity to anticipate & solve problems before they arise
Desirable
- Experience working with InfluxDB and Telegraf for monitoring and observability
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments
- Experience with MLOps and GenAIOps
What the job involves
- As our Staff DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in architecting our cloud infrastructure, optimizing our deployment pipelines, and contributing to our overall technical strategy
- You'll lead (without direct management responsibilities) a more junior DevOps engineer, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with our development teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and scalable operations for our GenAI applications
- Lead and implement technical discussions and DevOps best practices, focusing on infrastructure as code, CI/CD and cloud-native technologies
- Architect, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on GCP using Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to more junior DevOps engineers, assist in resource allocation planning, and take part in interviewing candidates
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
- Own our monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using ELK stack, Grafana, InfluxDB, and Telegraf
- Contribute to backend development projects as needed, primarily using Python
- Continuously evaluate and introduce new technologies and methodologies to improve our DevOps and backend practices
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the successful delivery of software projects
- Work with Product Managers to advise software development projects, including planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering projects on time
- Work with stakeholders, customers, and team members to establish project goals and timelines

Whilst supply chains face innovations in logistics, inventory predictions, and other areas, procurement data still relies on antiquated systems.
