Who you are
- Experience working with Kubernetes, Terraform & Docker images
- Experience with a cloud-based platform (AWS)
- Programming language experience in PHP or GO
- Familiarity with SAST and DAST tools
- Familiarity with OWASP best practices
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines & how to maintain them
- An understanding of Microservices and Event-Driven architecture
- Interest in cyber security and keeping up to date with the latest findings
- Cybersecurity certification is desirable
What the job involves
- We are looking for a talented and dedicated Security Engineer to join our growing Platform & Security team
- You will play a key role in maintaining and improving our security posture whilst delivering new features for our users
- You will support Product Engineers in keeping their software secure, maintain and harden infrastructure, and follow industry best practices to keep our customers money and data safe
- Maintain our static analysis tools (Trivy, Semgrep, etc)
- Monitor and analyse the software supply chain and patch vulnerabilities
- Maintain hardened infrastructure (Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker images, etc)
- Drive the EOL maintenance programme
- Be accountable for ensuring our tech stack is on the latest secure version
- Collaborate with Product Engineering squads at the feature design and architecture stage, to ensure security requirements are properly considered
- Work with the Mobile Foundations team to identify potential threats and plan remediations
- Foster a culture of secure software development
- Facilitate collaboration across engineering teams to implement security policies and initiatives, driving forward the shared security roadmap
- Collaborate with external security providers (eg. pen testers, outsourced monitoring)
- Implement tools for finding potential vulnerabilities, internal monitoring, alerts, etc
- Assist in producing regular reporting to Management on Chip’s InfoSec posture
- Own third-party key rotation schedule and policies
- Build tools that help all engineering teams improve security in their services and codebases
