Role
Who you are
- You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or Event Management at a Business School or University
- Fluency in English is mandatory (Wakeo operates in an international environment). A good level of French and German is a big plus
- You already have a first experience in event management. A solid command of graphic tools like Canva is required (knowledge of the Adobe Suite is an asset)

What the job involves
- As a Marketing Event Coordinator, you will join our dynamic Marketing team under the supervision of the Marketing Director
- In this role, you will be at the heart of Wakeo’s brand presence, actively participating in our main marketing activities and helping us shine on the international stage
- Format: Alternance (Apprenticeship)
- Duration: 12 months minimum
- Event Coordination:
- Manage relationships with external service providers (agencies, freelancers, printers) and participate in the end-to-end organization of major trade shows in France and internationally
- Participate in the execution of both physical and online events (webinars). This includes target identification, sending invitations, managing follow-ups, and handling streaming platforms
- Provide global support to the marketing team on all event-related logistics to ensure smooth operations for customer events, webinars, and trade shows
- Participate in the elaboration of a detailed, strategic event plan fully aligned with our global sales targets
- Design & Brand Consistency:
- Visual Creation: Support day-to-day marketing activities by creating compelling, high-quality, and on-brand visual assets for our events and digital channels
Our take
During the pandemic, investment in logistics ramped up due to the need to switch to remote tracking, as well as to create solutions to counteract new limits to movement. However, since then the sector has seen many of its issues overlooked, despite an urgent need to address things like infrastructure congestion and extended transit times.
Wakeo hopes to answer these issues, by bringing real-time visibility to intercontinental freight transport flows across shipping, air, and road. Its platform combines IoT and algorithmic technology to give export and import teams intelligent ETAs that factor in the shifting sands of supply chain disruptions. Using this data, Wakeo’s customers have the power to optimise transport plans, reduce emergency costs and enhance the management of their inventories.
With international shipping as unpredictable as ever, it’s no surprise that Wakeo enjoyed $19.6 million in funding in December 2023. This funding is being put towards the company’s expansion, as well as consolidating its path to sustainability, as goods transportation makes up 17% of global emissions.
