Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of HR experience in a Generalist or similar role
- Experience supporting an hourly workforce or working within a Contact Center environment
- Proficiency in HRIS or HCM systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, or similar platforms)
- Strong knowledge of employment law and the ability to interpret and apply policies to real-world scenarios
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle employee relationships thoughtfully, empathetically, and professionally
- Strong technical agility, including the ability to leverage AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, problem-solving, and HR operations
What the job involves
- As a People Resources Generalist, you are the engine that keeps our people operations running smoothly for our high-energy Contact Center. You will act as a dedicated resource to our managers and employees, translating HR policies into everyday solutions and ensuring our people processes are executed with precision
- This is a high-impact, execution-focused role where you’ll have the autonomy to resolve routine employee relations issues from start to finish, ensuring our teams feel supported and our operations remain seamless. This role will report to the People Resources Manager
- Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns, independently diagnosing and resolving routine issues from beginning to end
- Apply and interpret HR policies and procedures to provide clear, consistent guidance to employees and managers
- Support managers through coaching on documentation, policy application, and conflict resolution
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows and share insights to improve the employee experience
- Maintain a solid understanding of HR functions and know exactly when and how to escalate complex issues to an HR Business Partner
- Build professional credibility by collaborating with our Centers of Excellence (Compensation, Benefits, Talent Development) to ensure business needs are met
Our take
Providing customers with quick access to credit is important for fintech companies to survive in today's financial landscape of open banking, but this is made difficult by high credit rejection rates from banks. However, these decisions are generally made by human assessments of data, which are limited due to the complexity of the modern financial landscape. AI-driven solutions, able to analyse vast amounts of data almost instantly to derive accurate credit risk assessments, present room for improvement in the lending industry.
Enova provides a platform called Colossus that leverages AI and machine learning-enabled analytics to provide businesses and individuals with fast, reliable, and trustworthy credit. The company achieves this by partnering with banks and sharing its data analysis solutions, helping to identify credit opportunities when they would otherwise be missed. There is definitely a market for its product: over 15M customers have funded almost $70B through the platform to date.
Enova has grown strongly in recent years based on the rapid uptake of its product. As the macroeconomic climate remains volatile, businesses will become increasingly reliant on Enova's AI-based solutions to help them manage credit risk and navigate a complex lending environment.
