Who you are
- Ability to partner with leadership and go-to-market (GTM) teams to align brand initiatives with business and marketing goals
- Someone who enjoys translating technical concepts into effective visual metaphors
- A champion for exceptional design standards, ensuring high quality and consistency across all branding, marketing, and web assets
- Demonstrated experience in leading brand campaigns that resonate with target audiences and differentiate Trunk in the marketplace
- A self-starter who can work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- A strong advocate for a user-centric approach to design, ensuring all brand touchpoints provide an exceptional user experience
- High proficiency in Figma (and bonus points for motion design software)
What the job involves
- Lead creative initiatives from ideation to final execution, even with limited resources, ensuring cohesive design solutions
- Own all customer-facing marketing assets, including trunk.io, promotional materials, newsletter design, and assets for our newsletter, social media, blog, and docs
- Drive the evolution of Trunk’s web and brand identity by thinking strategically and creatively about the company’s digital and brand presence
- Contribute to design systems and style guides that align with brand values and can scale with future growth
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and engineering, to ensure designs support broader business objectives
- Communicate design ideas clearly and effectively through strong written, verbal, and visual presentations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate best practices in digital design, branding, and user experience
Our take
Software and web development used to be a slow and steady process, but these days developers must rapidly develop new features if they are to keep up with the competition. Coding like this inevitably leads to bugs, resulting in time-consuming testing processes.
Whilst many enterprises employ large teams of programmers to keep afloat during rapid feature development, Trunk has recognized the inefficiencies this causes and has presented a much simpler and concise solution. Its offering leverages automation to run formatters, spell checkers, linters, and static analyzers to facilitate a frictionless coding and merging process in C++, GitHub Actions, JS, and other languages.
Trunk has attracted funding from Andreessen Horowitz and is backed by an experienced ex-Uber/Google founding team. The company continues to develop its tools to serve any project whether by a hobbyist or large, enterprise engineering team.
