What the job involves
- Sprinter Health is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Partner Engineering team, building the technology that allows us to launch and scale healthcare programs with some of the largest health plans and healthcare organizations in the country
- You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, product, and operations—turning complex partner requirements into scalable platform capabilities that expand how and where Sprinter can deliver care
- This is a highly ownership-driven role: you’ll lead projects end to end, from designing integrations and backend systems to launching new programs across states and patient populations
- As Sprinter continues to scale nationally, you’ll help build the technical foundation that makes each new partnership faster to launch, easier to operate, and more scalable than the last
- Build and own backend and full-stack systems that power partner integrations and patient access
- Architect features that enable multi-state rollouts, new clinical programs, and scalable delivery models
- Turn bespoke partner requests into reusable platform capabilities
- Collaborate with product, data, ops, and clinical teams to launch high-impact solutions
- Lead projects end to end — from scoping and design through implementation and rollout
- Shape the technical direction of Partner Engineering as we scale nationally

Our take
Sprinter Health offers on-demand health checks and lab draws by sending nurses and phlebotomists (employed by Sprinter itself) into the home. Amongst its services are blood draws and urine samples, mobile imaging and vitals checks, as well as assistance with telehealth consultations.
The rise in remote, digital health solutions is helping to bring greater access to care, but it’s also created a need for last-mile, in-person services. Indeed, while the last year or so has actually seen a marked drop in investment in digital health, home-based care providers are still going strong.
There’s no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic had a lot to do with this, but it appears that the demand for in-home services is here to stay. If anything, they’re something of a throwback to decades gone by when house calls were a regular occurrence.
Despite only emerging from stealth in late 2021, Sprinter is very well funded and has been quickly building up its headcount in California, with a long-term focus on national expansion.
