- 10+ years of proven success in B2B Corporate or Enterprise Sales
- 5+ years of building and leading high-performance SaaS B2B sales teams
- 3rd line leadership experience preferred
- Experience in the security/SaaS space
- Solid technical and commercial skills with an ability to operate independently
- Superb communication and presentation skills; successfully able to communicate at the C-level while also cultivating a strong environment for the Corporate sellers
- Willing to travel ~30%
- BS/BA degree strongly preferred
What the job involves
- Okta’s Vice President of Corporate Sales will be responsible for building and leading our Corporate Business unit in the US. This is a third-line leadership position reporting into the SVP of Commercial Sales, North America
- Lead a high-performing sales organization, managing Area Vice Presidents, Directors, and Account Executives across Customer and New Business teams to drive growth and exceed revenue goals
- Build and develop a top-tier sales team by driving strategic initiatives and fostering a culture of excellence, ensuring business growth, customer satisfaction, and consistent overachievement of revenue targets
- Deliver exceptional productivity that consistently exceeds performance standards and objectives
- Drive significant revenue growth for Okta and Auth0 product lines, utilizing a combination of outbound prospecting, new logo acquisition, and cross-selling
- Execute value-based solution-selling strategies, nurturing a consultative sales culture and empowering teams to meet customer needs with tailored solutions
- Drive Corporate revenue growth through driving a combination of outbound prospecting and AE sourced pipeline, new logo acquisition, skilled at both velocity-based and strategic sales cycles, strategic account planning, cross-selling new products/use cases to existing customers
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, providing career development, coaching, and performance management to foster a high-achieving sales culture
- Build a strong cross-functional operating rhythm with teams across pipeline management, forecasting, deal review, execution, deployment, and revenue realization
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Renewals, Customer Success, BD, and Marketing) on strategy and execution to drive adoption, increase productivity, and reduce/eliminate customer churn

Our take
Okta started off as an identity company where organisations, large and small, could tap into the company to have a single sign-on interface to access all cloud applications now centralised. Okta has since expanded to provide identity management at the device as well as the server level.
The new approach towards network security is increasingly based on identification and authentication, and Okta is on track to become the go-to vendor in the space. They aim to do so by developing products that enable people to access applications and other tools more smoothly and securely than ever before.
Okta has taken strides towards expansion through significant employee growth and shuffling executive leadership. The company has also made lateral moves such as tackling governance concerns, opening up new paths for revenue.
