What the job involves

At Taktile, machine learning and data science is a crucial component of our customer value proposition. As a Lead Data Scientist, you will shape a growing function to deliver cutting-edge, scalable data science solutions to banks and fintechs worldwide
You’ll collaborate closely with customers, as well as Taktile's customer-facing product- and engineering teams to ensure our platform and AI modules address real-world challenges. Your work will impact millions of business-critical decisions every day
Forward-deployed ML engineering: Train, test, and deploy machine learning models that are tailored towards customer-specific use cases in the financial services industry
ML operations: Deploy and maintain machine learning models in production, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with stringent operational demands
Project management: Lead the delivery of bespoke data science solutions for our customers, including requirements gathering, data exploration, feature engineering, modeling, deployment and handover to customer teams as part of larger customer engagements (pilots and implementation)
Product & AI strategy: Work closely with our product teams to develop and refine AI modules such as off-the-shelf AML and fraud models, transaction labelling models based on LLMs etc. for the Taktile platform, ensuring seamless integration and robust functionality
Mentorship: Share knowledge and expertise with team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment

Taktile’s goal is to enable financial services enterprises to adopt machine learning (ML) technology and deliver ML applications. Whilst ML may seem old news, these businesses have been slow to adopt it due to a shortage of expertise, IT resources and regulatory freedom.
