Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of experience in managing paid media campaigns, including paid social and SEM
- [Preferred] Experience in managing programmatic, affiliate, and ASO campaigns
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding campaign KPIs
- Analytical - comfortable digging into results and able to uncover valuable insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams and organizations
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Change-ready - you understand that things constantly evolve and can flawlessly adapt and excel within a hyper-growth environment
- [Preferred] Experience working in a start-up to scale environment OR a digital marketing agency
- [Preferred] Experience working on a mobile app product and well-versed in mobile marketing analytics and attribution platforms like AppsFlyer
- [Preferred] Casual or better interest in sports, particularly baseball and softball
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a related field
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Paid Media Contractor to join our marketing team
- You will work with the Director of Growth Marketing on the planning, execution, optimization, and analysis of paid media marketing campaigns to drive customer acquisition and other high-value actions
- You will play a key role in achieving business objectives by maximizing the effectiveness and ROI of paid advertising initiatives
- This is a 6 month contract opportunity
- Implement comprehensive paid marketing strategies aligned with overall business objectives, target audiences, and market trends
- Set up and manage campaigns across paid social, SEM, ASO, programmatic, and affiliate channels
- Utilize audience segmentation and targeting capabilities to reach relevant users with tailored messaging. Test different audience segments and targeting to optimize campaign effectiveness
- With direction from the Director of Growth Marketing, manage the paid marketing budget effectively, allocating resources across campaigns and channels to maximize ROI. Monitor spending, adjust budgets as needed, and ensure adherence to financial targets and OKRs
- Identify key opportunities and channels for investment based on audience insights and competitive analysis
- Collaborate with internal creative teams to develop high-quality ad creatives (copy, imagery, videos) that resonate with the target audience and align with brand guidelines. Conduct A/B testing and creative optimization to identify top-performing assets
- Collaborate with product marketing managers on testing strategy, execution, and analysis
- Collaborate with data team to analyze performance and identify areas of strength and weakness in paid media strategy
Our take
The competitive nature of sports has always been driven by scorekeeping, and nowadays results are often consumed online. However, for smaller teams it can be difficult to provide this information digitally, as they do not have dedicated web development staff.
GameChanger provides a scorekeeping and statistics platform for sports teams to engage with their fans, that allows viewers to track the progress of a game in real-time similar to with professional sports. The company also embeds a live-streaming service into the platform to facilitate remote viewing, helping to increase audience engagement.
Whilst some sports teams already stream events on platforms such as Twitch and Youtube, most do not have the technical resources to achieve this. GameChanger has recognized this gap in the market, providing a simple yet unified platform for sports scoreboards and streaming, providing a fair opportunity for any team to maximize their community engagement.
