Who you are
- Experience in customer service or sales (tech sales or recruitment experience a strong asset)
- Dedicated to conducting outbound calls to educators daily
- Must be an independent and self-motivated worker
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable with technology including Google suite
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
What the job involves
- The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work with our Zen Educate Teacher Success Team
- The role will focus on onboarding potential teachers as well as matching applicants to specific criteria based on a school's needs
- This is a high-dialing role that will require you to be communicating with applicants throughout the majority of your day to help get them placed in a teaching role as soon as possible
- Calling teachers signing up for Zen Educate to quickly qualify, assess preferences, and schedule them in for interviews if they meet our criteria
- Conducting initial phone interviews with applicants to assess their suitability for our open roles
- Gaining a deep understanding of candidates' preferences while identifying the most suitable position
- Building value and excitement around Zen Educate’s mission and how we support in finding them the perfect role
- Helping guide candidates through our screening and document collection process, and diligently following up with candidates that need support throughout
- Building urgency and excitement when speaking with applicants to get them started with Zen Educate as soon as possible
- Working in a fast paced and ever changing startup environment that requires flexibility and adapting to change

With UK schools under immense financial pressure, Zen Educate is providing a smarter approach to education staffing. Recruitment in schools often relies on inefficient and expensive practices. Zen Educate is focused on tackling the pain points in the industry and providing a way to ensure schools get the best teachers possible.
It provides an online platform as an alternative to recruitment agencies, which is the only online platform accredited by the UK's Department of Education, helping schools fill staffing needs quickly and cost-effectively. Schools using the platform have reportedly saved 20-30% on supply cover costs.
Zen also operates Zen Locum, a service aimed at solving similar problems for pharmacies and opticians. This has already seen high uptake with over 500 new joiners a month. The company has also raised significant funding to support acquisitions in the UK and the US, plus the expansion of its operations and offering.
