What the job involves

Inside the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team you will work closely with public and private corporate clients, private equity firms and other entities with large VC shareholdings
The candidate will help drive and build-out our platform’s growth while participating in the entire transaction process from pitching and origination through deal execution
The role will involve interaction with several other groups throughout the bank including DCM syndicate, research, coverage, sponsors, sales & trading, Lev Fin and M&A as the team offers a full range of products to its client base
Assist with the structuring and execution of acquisition and bank loan financing
Analyze business models and oversee financial analysis and modelling
Take an active and productive role in pitches and live projects by developing an understanding of mergers & acquisitions, financing strategies, the investment grade loan market, and our clients’ businesses
Support the preparation of detailed memoranda and presentations describing the key attributes of financing transactions
Participate in various marketing and recruiting activities of the Firm

Our take

Deutsche Bank is one of Europe's biggest banks, operating in around 60 countries. It has a long history but hasn't struggled to keep up with the changing times. Like launching Vert, a digital payments service for small and medium businesses, and focusing on investments that are good for the environment and society.

The banks performance in 2025 has been impressive too. In the first nine months, pre-tax profit reached €7.7B (up 64% from last year) and net profit climbed to €5.6B (a 76% increase). And all business divisions delivered double-digit profit growth, supported by revenue gains and disciplined cost management.

If this wasn't impressive enough, the bank is also making strong progress in ESG, reporting €23B in sustainable financing in the third quarter of 2025 alone. With these healthy finances, a clear strategic direction, and a focus on responsible growth, Deutsche Bank is in a very promising position for the future.
