Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth startup or tech-enabled company
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite (required) and Ramp (required); Brex familiarity is a plus
- Solid working knowledge of GAAP, GL coding, and month-end close, including prepaids, accruals, and credit card reconciliations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience managing vendor relationships and cross-functional stakeholder inquiries
- Highly detail-oriented and organized, able to manage high invoice volume and competing deadlines independently, and comfortable using AI and automation to streamline repetitive AP work
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

What the job involves
- We’re seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to own and scale Grow Therapy’s accounts payable function
- In this role, you will be the operational backbone of our vendor payment ecosystem—ensuring invoices are processed accurately, GL coding is clean and compliant, and month-end AP close activities run on time
- You’ll work closely with the Senior Accountant, Head of Accounting, and cross-functional teams to support the financial operations of a high-growth telehealth company
- Own end-to-end AP processing in NetSuite and Ramp, including invoice intake, GL coding, account and department classification, approval routing, and payment execution, while ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance
- Own month-end close for AP-related accounts (accounts payable, prepaids, and accruals), delivering fully reconciled balances with clean supporting documentation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor communications and cross-functional AP inquiries, managing payment questions, resolving disputes, and supporting vendor onboarding across business teams
- Manage corporate card and expense reconciliations in Brex, ensuring timely coding, approvals, and month-end tie-out
- Identify and drive process improvements, leveraging automation and AI tooling to increase AP efficiency, accuracy, and scalability as the company grows
Our take
Mental health issues affect about 20% of Americans, so there’s an immense need for qualified mental healthcare in the US. However the vast majority of therapists don’t accept insurance due to the prohibitive administrative workload involved. This leaves therapy out of reach for many Americans. So it’s no surprise that the Grow Therapy platform has seen skyrocketing popularity since it was founded in 2020.
Grow Therapy helps therapists open their own in-network practices, providing the technology, support, and resources to tackle the extra operational workload that would allow them to take insurance. It’s live across a number of states, and works in partnership with all the major insurance payers including Humana, Aetna and Cigna.
The company is competing with larger rivals like Alma and Quartet Health, but this should be a big enough market for several major participants. Grow has secured good funding that supported the launch of its enhanced measurement-informed care system, which will help improve the care experience for clients and providers and make value-based behavioral care accessible for more patients.
