Who you are
- We are looking for passionate and dedicated engineers to help us maintain, develop and scale our platform
- The ideal candidate endorses agile philosophy, and is excited about solving complex technical challenges at scale, while delivering high-quality, performant, and reliable solutions in the cloud
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent major
- 8+ years of working experience developing and maintaining production (high availability) data pipelines or data platforms
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience with relational databases at scale
- Experience with AWS or other major cloud services
- Proficient with TypeScript or other popular programming languages
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Passionate about Productivity platforms and saving people time by making the world more productive!
Desirable
- Experience building large-scale SaaS platforms supporting millions of users
- Experience designing and developing a data platform layer
- Experience with micro-services and event-driven architecture
- Expertise with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Elastic Search, PostgreSQL, and Redis
What the job involves
- Lead hands-on the design, implementation, and maintenance of highly scalable, high-quality backend APIs, services, and the most complex features of the data platform
- Have a sound understanding of the entire SW stack to represent and help craft a strategic vision of the data platform
- Work with product managers, front-end engineers, and product designers to define the product requirements, scope, and business impact
- Collaborate with other engineers to deliver high-quality, complex backend features on the roadmap
- Identify and troubleshoot significant errors and performance issues that occur within our environment
- Mentor other engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices
- Can be involved in customer discussions

In contrast to most of the austere, pared-back tools you might find in the workplace, it takes a playful approach, with its programs looking more like fun consumer-focused apps while still being fully-featured.
The company isn't alone in the workplace productivity market, counting Asana, Jira, Slack, and Monday among just a few of its competitors. However its advantage comes from its unified platform which encourages users to stay in ClickUp's ecosystem rather than look outside for other tools. Indeed, the vast majority of its users utilise three or more of its products. This has led to strong success in its market, with over 800,000 teams using the platform in enterprises such as IBM, logitech and Spotify.
ClickUp has been the beneficiary of a significant amount of investment, which it has used to develop its product and expand internationally. As it grows its footprint in Asia and Europe, where nearly half of its customers are based, it has also unveiled a new version of its platform which integrates AI writing and advanced search tools. The company is well poised to deliver on its vision of becoming the one app to replace them all.
