Who you are
- At least 2 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Architecture, and/or Technical Consulting
- A strong understanding of APIs and AI tools, with the ability to articulate technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling way
- Experience working with SQL, Python, Postman, and large databases is a must
- A "can-do" self-starter mentality with the ability to roll-up your sleeves, dive into the weeds, and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous start-up culture
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and adept at managing multiple priorities, clients, and meeting deadlines
- Ability to wear many hats and communicate across teams internally and externally to solve problems
- Bonus points: You have built, or possibly even sold, your own data-related AI applications
What the job involves
- We are looking for an Associate Solutions Engineer who wants to jump into a fast-paced AI growth environment at Qloo, partnering directly with the VP of Solutions to help land and expand the business selling a cutting edge AI driven Consumer Insights API
- You will be working in both a pre and post-sales capacity, bringing your expertise to boutique, unique, Enterprise deals with Fortune 500 companies, while also helping to close repeatable and scalable Commercial and Corporate deals with a small, agile sales team
- This role is the perfect next step for someone who wants to grow their skills as an SE in a startup environment where you get to wear many hats and work closely with teams across the entire organization
- Partnering as a Trusted Technical Advisor during and after the sales cycle, adeptly addressing client inquiries and concerns during both pre-sales and post-sales
- Owning the relationship and working with larger API clients in a Post Sales capacity to understand their application workflow and helping them integrate it with the Qloo API
- Speaking to Qloo’s business value in a room with Chief Product Officers, VPs of Design and Innovation, and Heads of Engineering while also being able to talk nitty gritty on the technical side with Data Scientists and Engineers
- Fostering seamless collaboration between internal technical teams and sales teams, ensuring clear communication of product capabilities, enhancements, and innovations
- AI Application Prototyping and Development. You are familiar with AI tooling and are excited about building out custom solutions / demos for customers using Qloo’s cultural insights as the backbone. You take and integrate feedback quickly, thinking on your feet to know how to connect with customers
- Knowledge Transfer and Enablement, communicating internally and externally how Qloo’s technology functions, uplifting internal resources while keeping external resources educated on updates, new features, etc

A unified system, however, could help understand and predict diverse personal tastes across various domains.
To confront this, Qloo provides companies with AI-generated correlation data spanning numerous cultural and entertainment domains. Leveraging its platform, a user's taste in one category or genre can seamlessly inform recommendations in another, leading to more personalized experiences. For example, Starbucks is using Qloo to create in-store music playlists tailored to specific neighborhoods, enhancing customer engagement.
With an influx in funding over 2023 and 2024, Qloo is now introducing an accessible self-service interface, aiding small and mid-sized enterprises in charting consumer and taste analytics. Additionally, it has introduced the "multi-person recommendation AI", capable of matching profiles based on individual preferences stored in its database, which further solidifies its position as a leader in personalized recommendation solutions.
