Market research: Deep market analysis becomes even more critical as you ascend to the role of a product marketing manager. You should be able to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats to formulate effective strategies
Product Expertise: Become an expert on the products you market and the market itself
Messaging and positioning: Skill in crafting compelling narratives that resonate with customers and differentiate from competitors

Experience with Marketing Tools: Knowledge of marketing automation software (Hubspot or Salesforce), CRM systems, and data analysis tools (GA4)

What the job involves

Our Marketing department plays a massive part in Commusoft's growth, powering our success with creativity and innovation
We have three key areas: Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Content Marketing
Our mission is to tell our brand's story and connect with our audience in ways that generate a qualified pipeline and grow our customer base
You’ll join a dynamic team of seven based in Chicago and London, working collaboratively across time zones to create impactful campaigns
A Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to lead the strategy and execution of product launches, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful go-to-market initiatives
The PMM will manage various work streams involved in product launches and have significant responsibilities in shaping product marketing efforts
Product Launch Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of product launches, from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals
Market Research: Conduct win-loss interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis to understand market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape
Client Testimonials: Gather and utilize client testimonials to support marketing and sales efforts
Persona Development: Develop detailed user and buyer personas to inform marketing strategies and product positioning
Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and refine go-to-market strategies, product messaging, and positioning to effectively communicate value propositions
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, sales, and other departments to define goals, campaigns, and metrics for product launches
Content Marketing Management: Manage a content marketing team to produce high-quality content that supports product marketing initiatives and create compelling materials that highlight product features, benefits, and sales collateral
Support PLG Efforts: Drive cross-sell and up-sell opportunities linked to Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategies
Training and Enablement: Train internal teams on articulating product benefits and creating supporting documents to enhance sales and customer interactions
And you’d probably like to know that we have a hybrid working model (10 days a month in the office) but it is an open door so feel free to come in more if you'd like! Please note that for the first month you will be required to come in full-time 8am-5pm

Commusoft exists to change that, providing plumbers, electricians, builders, and trades companies of all stripes with a platform that allows businesses to plan and schedule jobs, provide costing and quotes to customers, and handle client communications from a single application.

While other companies are operating in the field, Commusoft stands out in the market with its focus on its simplicity and digital invoicing functionality which is far more flexible than that provided by competitors.

Commusoft was founded in the UK but in 2019 began its international expansion, opening an office in Chicago to grow into the North American market. Having established a strong presence in the UK its main objective is currently to grow its market share in the US, recruiting teams on both sides of the Atlantic to capture a piece of the enormous American field services sector.
