Who you are
- This role requires a dynamic seller with a proven track record in sales, exceptional strategic thinking, and the ability to deliver results independently in a fast-paced environment

- Proficiency with AI tools and CRMs (Salesforce ideally)
- 5+ years in full cycle, quota carrying sales role at a software-as-a-service company. Preference for Higher Education Experience
- Winning mindset with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in new business focused roles and clear ownership mindset
- Ability to navigate complex deal cycles across multiple stakeholders and comfortable presenting to Executive leaders
- Experience in effective territory mapping and account planning. Strong ability to not just strategize but take action and track results
- Self-motivated with a strong bias towards action. Willing to be held to timelines
- Deep understanding of sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC & Value Selling. Certification in either is preferred
- Experience working cross-functionally with counterparts from Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Engineering
- Excellent time management
- Growth mindset and strong sense of curiousity focused on constantly looking for better ways to work internally and externally
- Strong EQ, organizational, communication and presentation skills
- Strong critical thinker who is able to come up with creative solutions as problems arise

What the job involves
- As the Regional Director of Sales at Coursedog, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence within your territory
- You will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic territory plan to achieve performance targets, establishing strong relationships with key prospects, being an effective liaison across internal stakeholders that are key to your success, and forecasting with a high degree of accuracy
- Achieve annual performance targets/quota
- Own deep discovery on business challenges, outcomes, and buying process/stakeholder mapping
- Own highly tailored platform demos and ongoing product knowledge
- Maintain >4x pipeline coverage and own opportunity generation alongside your SDR in your territory
- Follow through on pipeline management, accurately forecasting closed business through understanding conversion rates & clients buying process
- Following MEDDPICC methodology and keeping CRM hygiene clean including accurately reporting all sales activities in as close to real-time as possible
- Own territory planning, account mapping and prospect conversations in order to achieve goals
- Drive credibility through customer education of industry insights & product evangelism
- Approach conversations strategically, creatively and empathetically based on pain points
- Proactively leverage other stakeholders in the sales cycle (Product, Customer Success, Execs etc)
- Actively solicit and act on feedback
- Have a direct impact on a fast growing company

- Build and support processes that supports the growth trajectory we are on
- Drive new bookings by landing net new school logos in your territory by evangelizing Coursedog
- Build you territory strategy from the ground up and use effective account planning to meet and exceed targets

In the US, many higher education students are not able to fulfil the classes they need to graduate in four years. This results in higher costs, which exacerbates issues surrounding equitable access. Coursedog has set out to solve this with an integrated academic operations platform that helps institutions maximize their efficiency.
Essentially, the company is combatting a scheduling problem. Its curriculum-mapping software helps institutions to make the right classes available for students to complete their courses. In turn, these students are empowered to graduate on schedule - reducing both frustration and cost.
Coursedog has partnered with over 400 higher education institutions, serving more than 3.3 million students in the process. Although there is some competition in the space, the company has a strong footing and established reputation that should support it to find continued success.
