Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of corporate finance experience, including experience in the consumer, enterprise and/or Saas industries
- Experience with Excel & strong business modeling and analytical skills
- Experience supporting complex workstreams and cross-functional efforts such as assisting with a yearly planning process
- Demonstrated history of building financial statements (P&L, cash flow and balance sheet) as well as knowledge of accounting and corporate finance concepts
- Demonstrated history with financial planning processes and business systems such as IBM Analytics or similar tool
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field
- Experience with IBM analytics (Looker is a plus)
- Experience in enterprise SaaS technology and/or consumer internet
- Ability to handle large volumes of data, drive insights through analysis, and communicate to business partners
- Intellectual curiosity, agility to navigate ambiguous circumstances, strategic thinker, strong writing and presentation skills
What the job involves
- The Corporate Finance Analyst will support the Director of Corporate Finance and collaborate with our global finance team in the US
- You will support successful budgeting and forecasting processes and help leadership deliver strategic & valuable insights to continue to scale our organization
- Support and help improve key financial processes, including forecasting, budget planning, performance reporting, long-range planning, cash flow, and balance sheet forecasting
- Collaborate closely with finance, investor relations (IR), and data insights teams to help drive key financial, investor metrics, track team & company-wide trends, identify opportunities, provide recommendations, and collaborate across all levels
- Apply an analytical approach to help influence strategic decision-making, with a focus on long-term financial planning
- Provide financial reporting, analysis, and commentary to important partners including Coursera’s Board, management team, and investors
- Support ad hoc projects and help define systems improvements to support Coursera’s growth
- Assist with managing IBM Planning Analytics planning software
