Who you are
- Be a student who has completed or is currently pursuing an engineering degree or masters or research at a top-tier university
- Possess a strong desire to learn and grow as a backend engineer
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of backend technologies, programming languages, and concepts. Knowledge of node.js and/or python will be qn added advantage
- Exhibit enthusiasm for technology and an eagerness to contribute to innovative projects
- Be a proactive and collaborative team player, willing to embrace learning and challenges

- As an intern, you will work remotely from US, gaining hands-on experience in backend engineering, and contributing to our mission of driving technological advancements

- This is an immediate position, suitable for those who have either completed their engineering degrees or are currently pursuing them
- During this internship, you will collaborate with experienced professionals, actively contributing to the development and maintenance of our backend systems, including our new product, Nebula
- This opportunity will kickstart your career in technology and provide valuable experience in backend engineering and machine learning
- Work closely with our engineering team to develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems, including Nebula
- Collaborate on designing and implementing data-driven solutions and high-performance backend components
- Gain practical experience in machine learning engineering and contribute to enhancing our systems
- Troubleshoot and assist in resolving technical challenges to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our backend systems
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies, actively contributing to improvements
- Assist in the development and maintenance of API endpoints, data pipelines, and microservices, making a meaningful impact on our products
Our take
Data analytics has changed the way businesses operate - what customers buy, how often, what they nearly buy, etc. An individual’s online experience is full of data, telling a business what’s working, what’s not, and how they can change. But what’s much harder is to collate data from, say, a customer service phone call. That’s where Symbl comes in, with its conversation intelligence software.
Symbl boasts a hefty set of features, including topic and ‘sentiment’ recognition, automatic transcription (with identification of multiple speakers in over 30 languages), as well as question and answers analytics and keyword detection. It’s a thoroughly impressive package, with usages like data analysis from customer calls and performance reviews for customer support or sales teams.
Within the realm of human voice analysis, Symbl has impressive capabilities. But conversation intelligence is a market with other big players, like Gong or Chorus.ai. While Symbl’s features are technically more impressive than those of Gong, Symbl falls short on holistic analysis including SMS and email, which can provide a clearer picture. Symbl works well but has tough competitors to differentiate itself from.
