What the job involves
- An exciting ground-floor opportunity to be our Key Account Manager based in North America, in our Enterprise division
- You will sit as part of our Global team, as commercial lead to accelerate growth in our North America payments portfolio
- Be the face of the relationship and responsibly support the customers’ overall perception of Planet to ensure our brand is well-represented with the merchant and broader industry
- Full responsibility for delivery of set financial targets and defined objectives on a portfolio of Enterprise accounts and partnerships, with a focus on revenue retention, as well as up-sell and cross-sell of Planet’s portfolio of payment products
- Overarching responsibility for the entire relationship at Planet, fulfilled by co-ordinating the activity of the entire account team (Premium Support, Implementation, OBX), embodying the “we win as one team” mentality
- Responsible for managing the Maintain, Grow, Explore framework, and presenting this back to SLT and ELT audiences, to track all aspects of the relationship and ensure execution against key initiatives
- Effectively support the assigned Executive sponsor on Enterprise accounts, providing regular updates on priorities and status of the account, and ensuring ELT members are fully briefed in advance of key engagements
- Manage a broad set of stakeholders across different disciplines and at all levels (including c-suite) within multi-national and multi-brand enterprise accounts
- Build a trusted advisor relationship with the accounts, deeply qualify a wide set of stakeholders to truly understand the customers’ requirements and strategic priorities and use this knowledge to influence their strategic approach to payments
- Effectively advocate internally for their key requirements across Product, Operations, the Card Networks, and others, by building a strong internal brand and networking effectively with key internal stakeholders
- Provide insight to merchants on an array of relevant topics to their industry vertical and geographies, including key market developments in payments, across consumer trends, global card schemes, and relevant global regulations, to inform their global strategy and maximize performance
- Own the Quarterly Business Review and ensure strong attendance from key stakeholders across the customer’s business, and co-ordination of internal teams in advance, and comfortably pitch key product opportunities to customers
- Provide insight to merchants on their payment performance, and how they stack up against relevant benchmarks
- Effectively manage the sales pipeline via Salesforce and facilitate all stages of a sale, from initial identification of opportunities to the negotiation of pricing and contracts, bringing in the right teams to manage internal reviews of large Merchant Services Agreements (MSA)
