Staff Accountant, Flatiron Health

• You have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• You have strong Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables, subtotals, etc)
• You have the ability to manage a high volume of transactions accurately and effectively
• You have superior organizational skills and attention to detail
• You have excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills
• You are able to constantly prioritize and to change or adapt to any situation
• You are a goal-oriented, logical, quick-learner with experience working in a tech-enabled company
• You are interested and excited to understand and build systems and processes
• You are adaptable and have a desire to learn and develop your skill set to take on more responsibility

• In this role, you'll work closely with the Accounting Manager, and other members of the Accounting team to ensure Flatiron’s Monthly Close process and reporting are completed timely and in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS standards. You’ll also:
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for various areas including cash, accounts payable, and expense accruals
• Assist with accounting activities for Payroll including the preparation and booking of journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
• Assist with process improvement and automation efforts to streamline Accounting operations and improve the quality of closes, and internal controls
• Ad Hoc financial reporting projects
