Role
Who you are
- The perfect candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and show the ability to shape new processes as well as improve the existing ones
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a management role
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls is a must
- Chartered Accountant and/or Certified Public Accountant is essential
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite, Navision, Oracle)
- At least conversational-level English skills, as English is our company language and is used for business-wide communication to help you feel integrated into Booksy.
Desirable
- Experience working in a fast-growth organization within a related industry (SaaS, Marketplace, or broader tech)
What the job involves
- As we continue to scale and develop our Finance department, we are looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee and manage our global Accounting teams
- This will include managing a senior team of accountants and developing efficient, reliable processes across multiple international entities.
- This is an integral role within the Controllership team reporting to the VP Global Controller and providing strategic support to our Finance Leadership team
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other standards
- Enhance accounting processes, systems, and internal controls to support growth and financial integrity
- Lead financial reporting, including senior management and audit committee presentations
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for timely, accurate results
- Mentor a global accounting team, driving excellence and continuous improvement
- Collaborate across teams to align operations with strategic goals
- Support external audits and maintain regulatory compliance
