What the job involves
- Imprint is looking for a Product Operations leader who blends product marketing instincts with strong operational execution.
- This person will help us showcase and scale our existing product suite, and will coordinate across product teams to develop and launch new products that solve real partner and consumer problems, while staying true to Imprint’s vision to be the best way to pay
- Partner with Growth, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing to coordinate launches and ongoing product improvements
- Package and “tell the story” of Imprint’s existing products:
- Create crisp product narratives, positioning, and enablement materials
- Translate product capabilities into partner-facing value
- Identify operational gaps that slow down product development or adoption, then build lightweight systems to fix them
- Track what is working: adoption, partner feedback, and internal execution signal, then recommend improvements
- What success looks like (first 90 days)
- Existing product suite is easier to understand, demo, and “sell” internally and externally through improved messaging and materials
- Product teams have clearer coordination and fewer surprises around launches and dependencies
- A lightweight system has been introduced to better track partner launch milestones
Our take
These days, all sorts of cards abound, from virtual cards to co-branded credit cards. Imprint aims to stand out in the increasingly crowded space by partnering with businesses to provide branded rewards cards for customers.
While there has been an increase in the number of companies offering branded financial products to reduce costs, Imprint sees its card programs as offering a new platform for deepening customer relationships: less of the nastiness of credit and a much greater focus on rewards.
The startup is focusing on refining its embedded finance solution to fulfil its vision of an Apple-pay like experience for merchants and consumers.
Imprint will hope that its lightweight service, fit for smaller customers like hotel chains, will allow it to compete with the major venture-backed players in the space like Cardless, Apto and Alviere. And its $75M in venture capital raised in 2023 is going some way towards achieving these aims.
