Who you are
- Good experience in building cloud-based analytics and data platforms
- A good grasp of how to structure data and the data journey; from effectively communicating with stakeholders to gather requirements ultimately leading to report creation
- Proven exposure in being part of a team that designs and builds large-scale, high-profile analytics and data platforms
- Has experience in fostering collaboration, manage risk strategically, and thinking creatively
- Capacity to build credibility, drive best practices, and continuously improve
- Ability to showcase high levels of ownership and responsiveness to tasks and challenges
- Possesses a keen eye for identifying patterns and optimization opportunities
- Understanding of basic data quality concepts and some experience in setting up rules to keep data accurate and consistent with rules
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and technologies like Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Server and Microsoft Fabric
- Good knowledge of data analysis, modelling, ETL processes, data warehousing, and core data infrastructure services
- Proficient in SQL Server (T-SQL) and Azure Analysis Services
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI (Desktop + Service) at an intermediate level
- Confident with using DAX to create calculated columns and measures, knowledge of MDX is desirable but not essential
- Some experience with designing flows on Power Automate to simplify repetitive processes
- Design visually appealing interactive Power BI reports that tell a story about data which can be used to spot trends to fuel business decisions
- Awareness of architecting for Non-Functional Requirements such as Scalability, High Availability, Cost Efficiency, Security, and Compliance
- Hands-on experience in implementing core data infrastructure services with supervision
- Good understanding of technology methodologies like Agile, DevOps, and Quality Assurance

- This role demands a good grasp of data engineering and technology, coupled with the ability to effectively communicate these complexities to drive business success
- As a Data Developer in Data and Analytics, you'll be instrumental in crafting data solutions that empower both internal teams (e.g., marketing, sales, finance) and external stakeholders (e.g., advertising agencies, brands, digital site landlords), thereby directly influencing our business's trajectory
- You will be based in our London office and you'll collaborate with regional offices in the UK
- Understanding Needs: You will be part of the team responsible for understanding ‘’why” various stakeholders need data so you can assist with scoping, designing, and delivering solutions that solve their problems and deliver value
- Architecture and Design: Within your team help define optimal architecture and design solutions tailored to meet business objectives
- Build, Test, Deploy: Hands-on creation and delivery of data solutions, guiding them through production and into the hands of users
- Peer review: You will be responsible for working with peers to validate the approach and quality of their outputs through peer reviews, quality reviews and pair programming
- Engineering Practices: Champion best engineering practices, help driving continuous improvement across the team and adopting agile and DevOps methodologies
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teams involved in data creation or consumption to ensure seamless end-to-end data solutions
