Who you are
- Experience as a freelance recruiter within a corporate environment and with experience of recruiting IT profiles
- Up-to-date knowledge of sourcing methodologies, strong track record of networking externally and expert in competency based interviewing
- Experience with recruiting across locations in Europe
- Passionate about building an organisation through its people and enabling excellent candidate and colleague experiences
- Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder management with influencing skills
- Collaborative team worker, well organised, able to work autonomously, and a growth mind-set mentality
- Excellent attention to detail skills and high standard in terms of quality of output

What the job involves
- We are looking for a freelance Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our EMEA & Americas Talent Acquisition team. Operating from London, 2 days onsite is requested
- The team is based across Belgium, The Netherlands, United States and the United Kingdom with a remit to hire into offices that span Europe, Middle East & Africa and the Americas
- Globally, our Talent Acquisition team is represented across the USA, EMEA and APAC regions as we support the growth of Swift’s offices worldwide. As a result, this role presents opportunities for cross-collaborative working and learning globally
- As Swift grows, you will be responsible for recruiting the best talent with the right values, skills, and competencies needed for the future
- Partner with key stakeholders in assigned business areas to source, select and hire qualified candidates at a variety of levels
- Manage and own the recruitment process end-to-end and ensuring a positive experience for all those involved
- Develop a sourcing strategy to build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline
- Drive offer process - building compensation proposals and packages that meet both Swift and candidate needs
- Organise, and represent Swift at external job fairs, conferences, community/industry events
- Carry out management reporting and data analysis to inform decision-making, using internal and external market data and tools such as Talent Insights
- Work with the whole HR department to share knowledge, best practices and experiences

Our take
SWIFT was founded in 1973 to serve as the bedrock of the international payments system. A cooperative society which is owned by its member financial institutions, it is a vital piece of the global financial infrastructure, securely transmitting payment instructions between over 11,000 institutions in almost every country. SWIFT handles half of all international transactions, on average 40 million every day.
SWIFT's only direct competition in the traditional cross-border payments sector are bodies such as China's CIPS and Russia's SFMS. Yet, lacking the trust and membership of SWIFT these are unlikely to make serious inroads in the international payments sector.
In recent years, the competitive landscape for international transfers has been disrupted by the large-scale uptake of cryptocurrency. SWIFT has not been immune, facing competition from high-speed blockchain payment networks such as Ripple. However, SWIFT has moved quickly to adapt, introducing SWIFT Global Payments Innovation (gpi) to increase the speed of transactions to nearly that of its competitors, but with greatly enhanced visibility. It also plans to introduce blockchain technologies, partnering with companies like Chainlink to trial its own cross-chain protocols that will support it in the new financial landscape.
