Who you are
- Are you enthusiastic about delivering customer value and solving technical problems?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant degree
- 5+ years of general backend development experience
- 2+ years of experience working directly with clients in a B2B context
- Experience with Typescript/Node.js a plus
- Experience with AWS Cloud Stack (DynamoDB, KMS, SQS, Lambda, etc)
- Experience with other cloud stacks a bonus
- Passion for blockchain technology/web3 and eagerness to consume the latest news and developments
What the job involves
- This person will work directly with clients looking to utilize AvaCloud products and architect implementations that will fit the product to the client’s needs
- This role is embedded within the AvaCloud product engineering team and will assist with rapid prototyping and optimizing products based on client feedback and opportunities that can then be fitted within the AvaCloud product offerings
- This person will not only work closely with clients but also provide valued feedback to product and engineering teams
- This feedback is essential to scaling product engineering and design based on direct experience working with the clients implementing AvaCloud solutions
- Work with clients to identify project goals and technical requirements
- Guide customers when deploying AvaCloud related products and identify opportunities to optimize based on client implementation
- Design, write, and test workflows based on customer requirements
- Report on project status, issues, and risks to internal stakeholders
- Identify product opportunities that can be incorporated into the product development process
- Rapid prototyping early stage solutions based on client requirements and provide optimal implementations to product engineering teams
- Understand new solutions across the organization that can be beneficial to end users
- Become experts of new solutions and releases from across the organization
- Work with leadership to measure success based on established OKRs

The highly secure and decentralised nature of blockchain technology makes it an attractive prospect for financial projects. Historically, this has compromised transaction speed and scalability, with Ethereum and Blockchain speeds barely breaking into double digits per second.
Ava Labs’ open-source platform, Avalanche, enables companies to launch decentralised applications with all the benefits of blockchain, whilst processing a record-smashing 4,500 transactions per second. The company's strategy has been to tailor its blockchain to specific applications, establishing a reputation in the sector through efficient hard-and-fast use cases with low fees. This has allowed it to operate alongside blockchain giants like Ethereum that hold large amounts of the DeFi market.
In answering the strong appetite for a cheaper and more scalable blockchain consensus, Ava Labs has found a keen audience and secured the ability to pursue its goal of opening the space up to more users. The Avalanche platform has become the first to partner with Amazon Web Services, becoming part of a project to bring blockchain technology to government and enterprises. The company also partnered with digital identity verification provider Blockpass to collaborate towards furthering the safety, security and capabilities of the ecosystem.
