Who you are
- We are looking for someone who is excited by a high degree of autonomy and personal accountability
- A love for building and experimentation. Some sales jobs are all about incremental improvements to a proven process. This is not one of those jobs. As an early Account Executive at Deepnote, you’ll have your fingerprints on processes you’ve helped build, all over the business, for years to come
- A true entrepreneurial spirit. We are a start up, which means no one has time to micro-manage you. That doesn’t mean you won’t receive constant feedback from your leaders and peers. However, it does mean we expect you to be proactive, productive, and relentless at prioritization. There is never a shortage of things to work on at a startup!
- A need to give and receive feedback written into their DNA. We want to move fast. The way we move fast is by learning fast. How do we move fast? Feedback. If you love constant feedback (good and bad) and love helping others grow too, keep reading
- 2-4 years experience at a B2B SaaS company in a closing role
- A proven track record of high attainment against quota. We ask every late-stage candidate for references

- You have worked at a company in this diagram or can explain what exactly is going on in this diagram
- You are trained in Force Management Command of the Message or similar value-selling methodologies
- We review every application seriously. However, there are better ways for sales professionals to stand out than simply submitting an application

Our take
Deepnote’s founders knew first-hand that data scientists do not work alone, hence conceived the company in 2019, offering a cloud-based notebook that promises to ease collaboration for data science professionals.
The Jupyter Notebook was the most popular of its kind existing in the market, but was weak when it came to collaboration and didn’t seem to facilitate best engineering practices. The founders didn’t get very far after trying to raise these problems with Jupyter, so figured that if they don’t build an alternative, no one else will.
The company has experienced rapid growth, fueled by strong backing from top investors and has quickly become a go-to platform for shared data science notebooks. With major clients like DyteDance and Discord already on board, the company is ready to expand its product and offerings in order to strengthen its presence within the data science community.
