Tax Manager, Crusoe Energy Systems

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, and a
• Minimum of 5 years of corporate tax experience
• A master’s degree and CPA license are preferred

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our tax team
• In this role, you will manage the company’s federal, state, and international income tax compliance, accounting for income taxes (ASC 740), and tax planning initiatives
• This role reports to the Director, Income Tax
• Tax Compliance & Reporting:
• Manage the preparation and timely filing of all federal, state, and international tax returns
• Manage tax calendars, estimated payments, extensions, and ensure timely, accurate filings across all jurisdictions
• Assist external consultants with the timely preparation and filing of statutory financial statements in foreign jurisdictions
• Tax Provision and Reporting:
• Manage the quarterly and annual income tax provision (ASC 740), including calculating current and deferred income taxes, ETR reconciliation, and ensuring appropriate documentation for financial statement disclosures
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including SOX controls
• Tax Planning and Strategy:
• Identify and implement tax planning strategies to effectively manage the company's tax exposure and optimize cash flow
• Monitor and analyze new and proposed tax legislation and regulatory changes, assessing their impact on the company's operations and financial statements
• Research and communicate to accounting leadership team on technical tax topics
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of senior tax associates, fostering a high-performance environment
• Review and improve internal tax processes and technology to drive efficiency and accuracy
• Communicate with company personnel to obtain information necessary to prepare US tax filings
