Role
Who you are
- We are seeking a Senior Accountant (m/f/d) with a strong background in accounting and a passion for Healthcare and FinTech at our headquarters in Berlin
- You are passionate and mission-driven about solving real problems in Healthcare and improving the lives of our customers and their employees
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master’s or other professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
- 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or auditing with HGB accounting standards
- You are excellent at independently managing multiple work-streams and priorities with a strong focus on achieving results
- You are proficient in the use of financial software (e.g. DATEV, Chargebee, Moss) with a quick grasp of new tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially when confronted with problems in uncharted territory
- Fluent in German (C2) with high proficiency in English
What the job involves
- This is an opportunity to have a great influence on shaping our Accounting function from the very start
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as the general ledger in collaboration with our tax advisor
- Ensure the timely close of monthly and annual management accounts for our multiple entities (OpCo and FinCos) in collaboration with our tax advisor
- Establish a scalable internal accounting process and manage the transition of taking the general ledger accounting in-house when necessary
- Create and monitor internal analyses and monthly financial reports
- Support the controlling and budgeting process in collaboration with our Head of Finance and Senior Leadership
- Evaluate and improve our stack of accounting and finance tools (DATEV, Chargebee, Moss) on an ongoing basis and adopt new tools when necessary
- Oversee and improve our in-house factoring accounting system in collaboration with the respective Engineering teams
- Ensure that financial data regarding our factoring receivables portfolio is always accurate and accessible for audit
- Manage the ongoing booking of accrual positions and provisions for our factoring receivables portfolio in collaboration with our Risk Management department
