Who you are
- A proven track record of 5+ years building and scaling B2B partnerships that deliver measurable growth
- Significant commercial and contract negotiation experience
- Outstanding communicator, able to inspire both internal teams and external partners
- Analytical with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies
- Experience managing an ambitious team and developing other team members
- Educated to degree level or higher
Desirable
- Experience in fintech, banking, payments or similar industry
- An understanding of API integrations

- We're looking for a Head of Partner Relationships to supercharge our growth and build an ecosystem where small businesses can easily access the financing they need through the services they already rely on
- In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will be the driving force behind forging exciting new partnerships, while also fuelling expansion and success with our existing partners
- You'll lead and inspire a small ambitious team, fostering growth and development every step of the way
- We're looking for a commercially astute, highly persuasive communicator with an unstoppable, can-do attitude to take this opportunity to the next level
- The Partnerships team plays a key role in driving iwoca’s customer acquisition by delivering cutting-edge embedded finance solutions to small businesses through our powerful Lending API
- Working with a diverse range of partners, from globally recognised names to dynamic micro businesses, helping them unlock new growth opportunities
- The team is a mix of commercial, technical, and analytical experts, all united to maximise value from both new and existing partnerships
- This role will collaborate closely with the Head of Partnerships, playing a pivotal part in accelerating the growth of our partnerships channel and taking iwoca’s impact to the next level
- Identifying new partners: Leading iwoca’s new partner development strategy and initiating new partnership discussions
- Onboarding new partners: Creating compelling pitch materials and delivering clear narrative to encourage new partners to onboard with iwoca
- Commercial and contract negotiation: Taking ownership of commercial negotiations and contracting processes with new and existing partners to secure mutually beneficial agreements
- Relationship management: Taking responsibility for the commercial success of all partnerships, including collaborating with our partner’s leadership teams
- Performance monitoring: Ensuring the partnerships team successfully implements and optimises existing partnerships, including tracking and management of their performance
- Skills coaching: Providing coaching and support to team members in order to aid their development
- Delegation: Ensuring that team members are given the right opportunities to build their skills and learn
- Goal Setting: Ensuring the team has appropriate goals that are motivating and drive them towards their objectives
