Who you are

You have a degree in engineering, computer science or similar technical field
You have at least 5+ years of web software development experience, with a strong Python knowledge

What the job involves

Develop new features for our products
Work closely with other highly-skilled developers
Work with an agile methodology with your Product Manager and your Engineering Lead during 2 weeks sprints releases
Maintain and ensure an excellent code quality
Participate in the growth of our technical teams!
Depending on your preferences and the team you will integrate your mission may vary:
Backend web developer: Work on various features supporting the platform. Design our private and public API
Full-stack developer: Develop features from end to end and enhance our user facing dashboards
Backend / SRE: working on the self-hosted version of our application for big tech customers
R&D for secrets detection:analyze the performance of our algorithms, suggest and implement improvements
R&D for other vulnerabilities: develop our next generation of code security scanners for IaC security and Software Composition Analysis

The twin uptakes of GitHub usage and cloud architectures have resulted in the propagation of digital authentication credentials in both public and private code repositories. Think APIs, cryptographic keys and login credentials.

GitGuardian has become the go-to for 100,000s of developers to identify these secrets in real time, securing enterprise software with bottom-up adoption.

The startup has also built from its secret detection expertise and extended its technology to encode a wide variety of vulnerabilities to compete with legacy code security platforms. In 2021, GitGuardian raised an impressive $44 million in order to accelerate this innovation.

So far, GitGuardian’s laser-sharp focus on secret detection has allowed it to carve out a lucrative niche, but the expansion of its technology will bring it into direct competition with well-established cyber security giants. The company is gathering momentum, however, and is likely to scale in line with its technology in the coming years.
