Who you are

You have extensive experience in the end-to-end design process, which includes understanding complex user needs, working with an established design system to create mockups, and supporting technical teams to deploy your designs in working code
Experience working with in-house internal tools & systems would be beneficial
You have a service design mindset, which means that you approach user-centred problems holistically and enjoy exploring and creating solutions to improving business processes or user experiences
You have worked in an agile multi-disciplinary team with other designers, engineers, testers and product managers
You are skilled at challenging assumptions of stakeholders and breaking down complex problems into simple, shippable solutions
You have over four years of experience working as a service designer, with examples of successful B2C and B2B projects already under your belt

What the job involves

Developing a deep understanding of our complex business needs & the processes around our platform and operational tools
Continuously identifying problems and opportunities to improve internal processes and enhance the experience for our operational teams and field engineers
Utilising the BOXT design systems to develop wireframes, UI mockups, and prototypes
Creating flows, service blueprints, or diagrams to clearly communicate your ideas
Designing, documenting and maintaining process and service design maps
Conducting qualitative research studies or analysing quantitative data to inform design and business decisions, and presenting actionable insights
Facilitating workshops and presenting new solutions to the founders and other stakeholders, with occasional travel to Leeds
