Role
Who you are
- Familiar with common programming languages (i.e., Java, SQL, Python, HTML)
- Basic knowledge of application security best practice and OWASP top 10 application security risks such as SQL Injection, XSS etc
- Basic knowledge of current security threats, techniques, and landscape, and a dedicated and self-driven desire to research and learn more about application security
- Basic knowledge of web applications API Security
- Preferably an understanding for compliance and regulatory requirements and relevant principles, best practices, and standards across multiple industries (e.g., PCI, CSA, NIST, ISO)
- Preferably familiar with cloud technologies e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP etc
- The ideal candidate is an excellent team player with outstanding verbal and written communication skills in the English language
What the job involves
- Own and manage the relationship to third party vendors who provide application security services to AEVI
- Support and consult with Product and Development teams in the area of application security
- Set security controls and design requirements during the software creation and development stage
- Using tools such (e.g., JIRA, MS Teams etc.) to effectively communicate with the Development Team and ensure fast remediation of vulnerabilities
- Provide periodic secure coding trainings to the Development and DevOps Team based on OWASP Top 10 threats
- Analysing and managing the remediation of vulnerabilities, as a result of penetration tests
- Ability to create policies, procedures, and guidelines for the use of Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), handle WAF findings, and collaborate effectively to remediate security vulnerabilities
