Who you are
- This is a great job for someone who has an inquisitive nature with good stakeholder management skills, strong analytical/reporting abilities, and a natural attention to detail
- Experience in private debt markets either at a financial institution or rating agency
- An understanding of credit rating principals used by credit rating agencies and ability to practically apply across a range of investments
- An understanding of key investment/commercial risk factors that need to be assessed in reviewing private debt assets
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong stake holder management - ability to manage competing demands of multiple stake holders
What the job involves
- The Credit Risk team is a front office function that supports the origination and monitoring of private debt assets within Aviva Investors Real Asset
- You will be reporting to the Head of Credit and will working alongside a team of 6 senior credit risk specialists that provide oversight of both new originations taken forward by the deal teams, and the monitoring of the existing portfolio of private debt assets
- The role is a for a junior private debt risk covering a broad range of assets across the Infrastructure, Real Estate Debt, Private Corporate Debt and Structured debt space
- Within the role you will review annual submissions, ensure appropriate risk and rating factors have been considered, and provide clear opinions to support approval /rejection of recommendations
- The role holder will also get the opportunity to attend internal and external client/stakeholder meetings and be able to explain the risk drivers impacting the portfolio
