Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of product management experience or 4+ years of consulting experience
- Experience defining and influencing roadmaps which optimize enterprise value against customer, business, and technology problems
- A strong bias toward action and a proven track record of delivering minimum viable products to market at rapid speed
- Persistence and creative ‘get it done’ approach to ensure successful outcomes for your product, our customers, our employees, and our company
- Willingness to take big swings which can (and should!) have massive impacts on our trajectory
- Excellent communication skills to lead and inspire teams and leadership
- A structured problem-solving approach to help a team work through a wide range of issues
- Intellectual curiosity for emerging technologies and engineering challenges
- Ability to actively seek out multiple opinions, yet make independent decisions and influence positive outcomes
- You get bonus points for experience or knowledge in the fintech and/or other regulated space as well as a strong quantitative background

What the job involves
- Mission Lane is currently seeking a dynamic Product Manager to play a pivotal role in propelling Mission Lane to new heights
- This position requires a strategic and analytical thinker who can strengthen relationships with our existing customers and help them grow on their financial journeys
- In this role, this will be done by improving the terms for customers on their existing products
- In 2025 alone, you’ll be working on the strategy and roadmap to increase the credit lines of tens of thousands of customers a month and build programs to test new term upgrades across our customer base!
- As a member of our product team, you will be immersed in a culture of continuous discovery, testing, and learning to identify what truly matters
- Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with various teams throughout the organization, including engineering, credit, and customer insights, to gain insights into priorities, universal capability needs, and competitive advantages
- Your primary responsibilities will include shaping the product roadmap and delivering impactful results

Our take
The world of credit can be a murky place, however, companies such as Mission Lane are being established to bring clarity to the industry. The fintech company aims to help people with low credit build their scores and improve their financial lives – this comprises an estimated 100 million people in the US.
Originally a spinoff from the fintech company LendUp, Mission Lane fits a similar mold to larger credit cards startups such as Petal, Tally, and Brex. It uses advanced technology and machine learning to expand credit access.
Despite the global pandemic providing an uncertain backdrop, Mission Lane saw more than 100% revenue growth in its early years. More recently, it strengthened its position in the market by expanding its partnership with Plaid, working together to offer additional connected solutions to underbanked customers.
