Engineering Tech Lead, ControlUp

• BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering
• 8+ year experience in software development
• Proven experience with both front-end technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, etc) and back-end technologies (Node.js, NestJS, OpenSearch/Elastic Search, Postgres, NX Monorepo etc)
• Strong computer science background
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure preferred)
• Solid knowledge of Programming methodologies and design patterns
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to a non-technical audience
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail and a passion for clean, high-quality code

Desirable

• Provide technical leadership, mentor other developers and drive technical excellence by contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve the development workflow, tooling and processes
• Full stack development with a focus on writing clean, efficient and reusable code, focusing on both user experience and application performance
• Work closely with the various members of the team (Engineering Manager, Product Management, Developers, Automation etc) to deliver high-quality products and services
