Who you are
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a digital, content or social-led advertising agency or in-house creative team
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Creative Advertising or related field
- Strong copywriting and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and passion for craft
- Understanding of budgets, defining scopes of work and setting realistic creative deliverables
- Proficiency in digital marketing and social media platforms
- Ability to think creatively and translate ideas into compelling content
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Good understanding of design and creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)

What the job involves
- We are seeking a Senior Creative to lead on the development of branded campaigns and pitches - working alongside a talented team of other Creatives, Strategists and Producers
- You’ll be experienced creating compelling, contemporary narratives that match our brand tone of voice, whilst also delivering against Partner brand or commercial objectives and engaging our hard-to-reach global audiences
- You’ll be as happy working alone as you are in a team, you’ll be confident pitching your ideas to internal and external audiences and you’ll be an inspiring and motivating leader to more junior members of the team
- This role is perfect for a passionate individual with a flair for creating dynamic, contemporary advertising and looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Creative Direction: Take responsibility for driving the creative standard across multiple campaigns, simultaneously - overseeing projects from start to finish, keeping to deadlines and keeping key Media Studio team members informed of their status
- Leadership: Manage the work, performance and professional development of more junior members of the creative department, whilst motivating them to strive for the highest possible standards
- Conceptualisation: Collaborate with Creatives and Strategists to develop conceptual advertising & content that aligns with both Expedia and our Partner’s brand and marketing objectives
- Copywriting: Craft engaging, clear, and persuasive copy that demonstrates an innate understanding of how to engage audiences through a wide variety of channels in a consistent tone of voice
- Art Direction: Oversee the artistic direction of campaigns, ensuring that visual elements align with your overall creative vision and relavent brand guidelines
- Social: Develop strong, social-first ideas that are informed by the latest developments in platform functionality, user behaviour and technology
- Craft: Champion excellence in the execution of campaign assets, working with colleagues and external vendors to ensure that your creative vision is realised to the highest possible standard
- Creative Strategy: Demonstrate a keen interest in using market trends, audience insight and technological innovation to inform creative conceptualisation and development
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional, internal and external stakeholders (including Designers, Editors, and Producers), encouraging feedback to refine concepts and ensure efficient campaign delivery

Its primary web businesses include Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Hotwire.com, and Egencia.com.
Between 2021 and 2022, Expedia has been selling and merging a list of its sub-brands in a bid to simplify its operations, including Egencia and Classic Vacations. Due to plummeting share prices, mostly in the case of its sub-brands, Expedia has been leveraging its subsidiaries' customer base and merging them into the company’s core brand. Contrasting this move, Expedia has also been partnering with tech start-ups in a bid to make travel more accessible to underserved groups. Becoming Rentable, a travel company for the disabled is one of 12 startups that are part of Expedia Group’s new Open World Accelerator Programme.
What this indicates is Expedia’s shift from buying other travel companies and a move towards enhancing the experience of its preexisting customer base. This move is aiding in a long-term plan for greater long-term traveler loyalty, utilizing Expedia’s vast amounts of data, not just from reviews, but from check-in, cleanliness, communication, cancelations, etc to inform how guests experience a property.
