Who you are
- You love building: Your passion is to design features and systems that customers love. You thrive in the controlled chaos of working on a market-leading product in a fast paced environment. You’re outcome centred, start with the problem, and are confident working within a complex, global business. You have a great track record of getting stuff done
- Research backed: You harvest data, conducting user research to create a more seamless platform experience end-to-end, while constantly looking for ways to develop and improve our product to be industry-leading and world class. You partner with your design lead, manager, or product manager to define what qualitative and quantitative data will be important in your work
- You keep close to the customer: You’re inherently passionate about the customer experience, maintaining up-to-date knowledge on evolving customer behaviours, needs, wants, and desires, as well as how to fulfil them
- Desire to win as a team: You’re a confident collaborator with the relevant teams to shape the user experience of the Hofy platform, website, and internal-facing tools, including solving challenging UI/UX problems in both technical and creative ways, and working closely with developers to implement design concepts
- Align on vision: You work and organise your vision in a way that allows other members of the team to collaborate with you seamlessly. You carefully review implemented designs to ensure they align with product concepts
- Embrace the challenge: You recognise the path to truly unique, defensible products requires you to go the extra mile and do things most others won’t
- Earned your stripes: At least 4+ years of b2b or b2c UI/UX product design experience
- Seen great: You have experienced working on high-quality, complex product in a start-up or growth focused organisation
- Track record: Your experience is backed by a strong portfolio in creating UI/UX designs and fixing problems or unlocking opportunity
- Customer sensitivity: You’re able to identify and anticipate customers’ wants and needs – supported by a strong design aesthetic in line with UX trends
- Tech confident: You have an expert working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite design tools
- Owner mindset: You feel a responsibility to see things through to the end and maintain quality through the ups and downs of the product development cycle

- Product at Hofy intersects software, operations and IT services, and we’re looking for someone who help creatively bring our visions to life and design and own a great user experience
- The ideal Product Designer will partner and collaborate across various teams and will build and maintain a deep understanding of our customers to build fantastic intuitive experiences
Our take
Work-from-home trends have ebbed and flowed over the past years, but this trend has been dramatically accelerated following Coronavirus. Hofy aims to let organisations provide home offices to their team whilst remaining compliant with health and safety and tax regulations.
The company offers furniture and IT such as ergonomic chairs, desks, monitors, keyboards, headsets, mice, printers and accessories such as desk lamps, standing mats, screen mounts and desk risers. Its catalogue caters to any desk-based profession and budget. Once the organisations have created their account, they can pre-approve products from Hofy's catalogue and invite their team members to browse and order from their private Hofy store-front. Hofy then delivers and responds to service/replacement requests on all of the items.
Hofy also works with the home office equipment that teams already have. Home office provisioning is an ongoing effort - and Hofy offers an effortless transition by helping assess and replace existing items as needed. However, with the subject of remote work experiencing some friction amongst leading companies like Microsoft's management teams in 2023, the longevity of success for services like Hofy depends on the trend's continued rise. Regardless, for now, Hofy is in a positive place on the back of impressive 2022 funding.
