Who you are
- Excellent communication skills
- 5+ years experience in Product Design, UX Design, or related discipline. SaaS experience is a bonus
- Experience as an interactive designer with product experience. SaaS experience is a bonus
- A track record of successfully shipping products, solving customer problems and moving company metrics
- Deep understanding of good user experience, IA, and visual design
- Experience with modern design tools (Figma) and the willingness to adopt new tools as needed
- A strong understanding of web technologies
- A design degree or relevant experience with platform and/or application design
- Humility plus strong opinions that are loosely held

- The Reporting Team is working on an entirely new reporting project. Clio customers need visibility about their firm performance and our reporting project is a ground-up re-imagining of how we can get them the insights they need to make smarter decisions about running and operating their firm
- Reporting is part of the larger Platform team where there are lots of opportunities to work with other designers on centralized tools like reporting for Clio’s customers, and also work on frameworks for Clio’s product teams to help them work better and faster
- Join a diversely skilled design team using modern design tools
- Work alongside product management and engineering to understand the right problems to solve, and find the right solutions to them
- Be responsible for balancing speed and quality
- Advocate for our customers by knowing them and their needs inside out
- Develop and design concepts, prototypes, hi-fidelity mockups and present solutions that solve both business and user problems and deliver measurable outcomes
- Be able to articulate the rationale behind your design decisions, and be able to ask difficult questions and challenge assumptions
- Coach and mentor fellow designers on a range of design practices
- Provide thoughtful feedback in team critiques
- Break down complex concepts into smaller, more manageable pieces
- Write research plans and conduct user research interviews, usability testing, and analysis
- Leverage product data and metrics to drive design decisions and measure product success
- Be able to adapt your process to the needs of the situation

Modern law firms increasingly manage their work digitally but the lack of a specialized remote solution means that workflows have become fragmented. This leads to legal practice managers having to juggle multiple software solutions across various devices.
Clio provides a legal practice management platform designed for law firms, allowing users to manage billing for legal aid cases, access and manage documents and store files across multiple devices. Whilst other startups are operating in this niche, Clio has uniquely focussed on synchronisation across remote devices and on a wide range of integrations, allowing the user to access information from other industry standard software such as Xero and Klyant from within a single interface.
Clio has raised significant funding and benefited from the COVID-era shift toward cloud technologies. More recently, the company has experienced rapid growth following the integration of AI into its platform in 2023. Alongside this, it surpassed $200M in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in mid-2024 and has since grown to an impressive $500M ARR. The company was valued at $5B following a $500M funding round in 2025, with the investment supporting further AI development and platform expansion.
